Our first donation, outside California, spread to Anchorage, Alaska! Thank you,
Joann Knecht, for presenting us to the Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis.

AWAIC teaches people to live and love together without violence. Everyone has
the right to live in a fear-free environment. AWAIC offers safe shelter,
information and referral, support and advocacy. Our operating principles value
the dignity, respect, empowerment, and accountability of all individuals. We
strive to provide clients a full range of choices for living and to empower all
those affected by domestic violence to make positive decisions about their
lives.

Because of your concerns, these 56 women and children experienced the comfort
of food and shelter. Anchorage was so excited about this donation, 4 newspapers
covered this event, and Anchorage felt your loving arms wrapped around its
town.
